A View of Our Future

This is a bit of imagineering for you in the form of an award acceptance speech. I wrote the first version of this in response to a challenge given to me and the other attendees of a personal development seminar in 2003. The challenge was to envision receiving and celebrating an award for our own future work done in line with our vision and purpose.

Why go small? I went big! I imagined I would receive the Nobel Prize for Peace for my work in completely reforming and freeing the educational system of North America. In my vision, the complete educational system overhaul eventually caught fire as a grassroots movement, spreading to other parts of the world. My speech was one of five chosen to present to all of the seminar participants. The speech was a hit. (Plus everyone was strongly encouraged to applaud and cheer loudly in celebration for a deeper imprint of our visions.)

Perhaps I was being whimsical or naïve. But that didn’t stop me, just over a year ago, from re-writing my speech to further expand my vision. I wrote a short story as well, to frame the revised speech. I’ll spare you the short story for now and cut to the chase with the speech alone. I kept the recipient’s name that matches the short story, which is why my name is not given as the recipient.

Envision that this speech is given perhaps ten years in the future. The first section contains the introductory remarks for the person introducing the reward recipient, followed by the actual award acceptance speech. I also made the assumption that the monarchical governing structures now present in parts of Scandinavia and Europe would be dissolved by the time of the award. In my vision they would be replaced by councils of elders truly representing the will of the people.

There’s also a surprise piece in this version of the speech about what I believe will happen as a matter of course as we, as a world, evolve into a more self-responsible, self-directed global society. That is, others in our neighborhood here to help us, now undercover, will feel safe to come out into the open and interact with us directly. In case it’s not clear, I’m talking about extraterrestrials.

Introductory Remarks

Council Elders, Excellencies, Mr. President, Ladies and Gentlemen:

I have the distinct honor of presenting to you this year’s recipient for the Nobel Prize for Peace.

This man has been instrumental in our ongoing integration of First Contact with our off-world Galactic Federation helpers. He and his global team of coaches and teachers have provided invaluable insight and guidance to the Elder Council in assisting to manage our growing pains during this important transition for our world.

As the foundation for this important work, for more than a decade, this man and his groundbreaking educational programs in the Holism Paradigm have enriched and uplifted the lives of countless people around the world. He is the founder of the respected Holism Institute. His transformative work is informed by the convergence of the sciences, the subtle sciences, and the Eastern, aboriginal, and other ancient spiritual traditions.

His educational programs worldwide have permeated virtually all facets of life worldwide. The Holism Paradigm educational systems have deeply informed and expanded our understanding of our world, our Universe, and the true nature of our lives and existence. His work with the Holism Institute has borrowed from, contributed to, and brought clarity to the fields of transpersonal psychology, quantum physics, neuroscience and biochemistry, new government policies, compassionate business practice, energy medicine, and spiritual traditions and disciplines.

Countless grassroots and private organizations and community outreach programs now include the Holism Paradigm in their curricula. Holism Coaching has widespread adoption within the US prison reformation project offering meaningful rehabilitation, contributing to the major success of that project. Homeless shelters, women’s shelters, and counselling centers in hundreds of countries around the world have adopted the Holism Paradigm. The US Military now includes the Holism Coaching model at all levels of training. The Holism Paradigm Institute now has teaching facilities on six continents, and their African Outreach Program is heralded as a major success.

Organizations as diverse as UNICEF and the World Health Organization, Habitat for Humanity, the Boys and Girls Clubs of North America have adopted his educational programs. Schools and universities around the world have integrated his educational programs. He is the author of seven books.

Nobel Acceptance Speech

Council Elders, Excellencies, Mr. President, Ladies and Gentlemen:

It is my supreme pleasure to appear before you tonight in acceptance of this year’s Nobel Prize for Peace. This is the most incredible honor ever bestowed upon me, and I am deeply moved and humbled by your recognition of my work.

I stand on the shoulders of giants. I would not be here tonight but for so many wonderful men and women, both my contemporaries and those who have come before me, who have made profound contributions toward the beautiful rebirth we celebrate in the world today. I accept this great honor not for my work alone, but in dedication to the vision and inspiration, tireless effort, and wonderful hearts and creativity of all who have contributed to the co-creation of the miracle now blossoming on our beloved planet Earth.

How has this come to be? In a word, education—in large part through education about our true nature as human beings and all that it means to be human; education to bring us out of the darkness of past millennia into the light of our full potential; education, knowledge and wisdom hidden from so many of us for so long, now illuminated by the light of awareness; education that unquestioningly gives us permission to be who we were born to be; education to provide ourselves and our children with the tools, understanding, and foundation on which to build truly meaningful lives of contribution and joyful expression of our true greatness.

How did I come to be the lucky participant in this awakening? My many kindred co-creators and I have been blessed to be alive during this amazing time for our collective vision to have taken flight and become real. My long-held dreams, shared by many, now bear fruit in the massive grassroots shifts taking place across our world

The rising tide of consciousness that has so transformed the Earth this past decade has carried us out of darkness on the crest of a wave of awakened awareness, peace, compassion, love for each other, and reverence for the sanctity of life. These heart-held principles and ways of life and being are, thankfully, the new normal in the lives of so many. Billions who—just a few short years ago—lived in conflict and strife, and lacked the housing, nutrition, and safety to live and thrive, now live in peace and have at least those essentials. And with those essentials, they now have the joy and freedom of opportunity to begin to contribute their unique gifts to their own communities and to our greater world community.

This has also come about through the power of inclusion. We’ve joined with many segments of our society who less than a decade ago were suppressed and disregarded by the status quo. I’m speaking about the indigenous peoples on many continents marginalized for the last several hundred years. Their wisdom, passed down through venerable forefathers, now informs our newfound remembrance of ourselves.

We are experiencing a renaissance of consciousness blossoming across our world not seen or known in modern historical memory. From this wellspring of peace, rising well-being and true wisdom has flowed forth a cornucopia of advances and improvements in all areas of human endeavor, benefiting all of humankind.

Worldwide we’ve seen improved quality and standard of living. Each year millions more children are receiving quality education. Overall we continue to make enormous strides in children’s rights and in true equality and reverence for all human beings. We are leaving behind the patriarchal paradigm of past millennia, realizing we can now more fully embody and express the strengths and the gifts of the divine masculine and the divine feminine. We are coming of age as evolved men and women on Planet Earth.

Through education of true full spectrum health practices we are witnessing the eradication of disease and sickness. We are seeing multi-disciplinary collaboration in so many areas, in the restoration sciences of returning our Earth to the healthy environment She wants to be. We are seeing rapid advances in eco-beneficial energy and technologies, in eco-beneficial agriculture and food production, and in eco-sustainable transportation. We are seeing the blending of the arts for the enhancement of our spiritual practice and awareness, and integration into so many other wonderful fields of advancement and sustainability.

All of these advances have laid the foundation for the First Contact transition our world has experienced these past few years, preparing us for initiation into our Galactic Age. We’ve experienced many growing pains in our transition. But it’s clear by the reception, reverence, and gratitude extended to us by our Star Nation brothers and sisters for our efforts and our work, that we are ushering in a period of even greater awakening across our planet. Together with the support of our Galactic Federation partners, we as a world have moved out of darkness into our integrity. We are ready to take our place as a young adult in the cosmic community of Light.

And this is only the beginning. Not only will these wonderful and amazing trends continue, but the secondary effects for our well-being as individuals, communities, eco-systems, and our world as a whole, will continue to raise our quality of life in unimaginable ways across our planet, and enable our greater contribution within the galactic community.

Please join me in celebrating this great honor and let us continue to dream our amazing tomorrow into being. Thank you very much.
